The video work Wir kennen uns übrigens [By the way, we've met before] is a montage of different scenes and fragments of conversations from Alexander Kluge's Artists under the Circus Dome: Perplexed, from the portrait of Jane Birkin by Agnès Varda, as well as newly filmed material. The viewer is presented with a way of seeing which is pervaded by the constantly reoccurring image of a young woman emptying out her handbag and producing a mountain of papers, letters, etc.
