VIDEONALE.6

Foreword of the VIDEONALE.6 catalogue

10 Years of the Videonale:

[...] True to its two year rhythm, the Videonale takes place from the 13-18 of September, maintaining its concept as an international festival and contest. From Western Europe, Scandinavia, the Mediterranean area, Canada, the USA, South America, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Japan, more than four hundred video tapes arrived in Bonn. [...]

An installation exhibition predominantly made up of works created in the sill young media colleges will be shown. Together with the Bonner Entwicklungswerkstatt für Computermedien and the Werkstadt Bonn, the Dutch artist Akke Wagenaar and Japanese artist Masahiro Miwa exhibit their interactive computer installation "5Animals::Tiger" in Atelier Chip Arts specially for the Videonale. The award winners of the 5 Videonales can be seen in the Bonner Kunstverein. [...] (Petra Unnützer)
